main characteristic of UNICA is that the member universities
are located in the capitals of Europe. They may thereby
profit from their situation and from the similar political
and social environment with which they are each confronted.

| SEFI
- European Society for Engineering Education |
Founded
in 1973 as a non-profit organisation, SEFI is presently
the largest network of higher engineering institutions
and individuals involved in engineering education in Europe.
Through its numerous and various activities, SEFI contributes
to the develop- ment and improvement of the position of
engineering education and engineering professionals in
society, provides appropriate services and information
about engineering education, acts as a link between its
members and other societies and international bodies,
improves exchange and cooperation between, teachers, researchers,
students, practising engineers and between various types
of educational institutions in the field of engineering.
To contribute to the recruitment of promising students
into engineering education and to promote the development
of the European dimension in higher engineering curricula
also constitutes one of SEFI's objectives. |

is a federation of professional engineers that unites
national engineering associations from 26 European countries.
Thus, FEANI represents the interests of over 2 million
professional engineers in Europe.

in Europe and wants to affirm and develop the professional
identity of engineers.
Through its activities and services, especially with
the attribution of the EUR ING professional title, FEANI
aims to facilitate the mutual recognition of engineering
qualifications in Europe and to strengthen the position,

EAIE is a non-profit organisation whose main aim is
the stimulation and facilitation of the internationalisation

The EAIE is a member-led organisation made up of individual
members. It has a committed membership of more than
1600 international education professionals - from rectors
to professors to international exchange coordinators.
The Annual EAIE Conference - creating an atmosphere
for learning, debate, and networking. The EAIE, with
its Professional Sections and Special Interest Groups,
ensures that adequate attention is paid to the more
specific topics that concern EAIE members as well as
the general topics challenging the international higher
education arena.
