NordForsk www.nordforsk.org is a Nordic research board operating under the Nordic Council of Ministers for Education and Research; responsible for Nordic collaboration in research and research training.

- Research training courses
NordForsk invites applications for funding for research training (Ph.D.) from institutions in the Nordic and the Baltic countries. The objective is to offer research training in fields that are difficult for the national research institutions to cover on their own.
Closing date for applications is on the 11th of March 2009.

- Nordic Networks of National Research Schools
From 2008, joint funding is required for projects with participation from the Baltic countries according to the Nordic Council of Minister’s Knowledge Building and Networking Programme and Guidelines for the Nordic Council of Minister’s cooperation with Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania 2006-2008. No call in 2009

- Researcher networks
NordForsk announces support for new Nordic researcher networks 2009. Closing date for applications is on the 1st of April 2009.
